I recently recieved my new Blueridge BR-140 six string dreadnought. It is a beautiful instrument to look at - very pleased with the appearance. The gloss finish is excellent, and while I prefer a more matte finish, I have since taken a "shine" to the glossy look. It came with an arch-top case.
The set-up was noticeably high, and it appeared to have been fitted with medium gauge strings. I lowered the action a bit at the saddle and installed a set of extra-light strings - what a difference in sound and playability for my type of music (folk). It sounds terrific and I would put it up against any moderate-priced Martins I have tried.
I have read several reviews about this guitar and a lot of folks have mentioned problematic tuners, but I have hadno such bad experiences as of yet. They operate freely and stay put. The lighter strings may have someting to do with that, too.
Very nice guitar and I am over all very pleased with it. I would certanly buy another.
