Description

The Vintage Series seeks to recreate or resemble some of the great Washburn instruments that were crafted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Included are parlor sized models as well as a southern jumbo and several mandolins available in our mandolin section here. In order to create the "vibe" of a 100 year old instrument that has been well played but not abused, we have added a vintage finish and distressed hardware. Because these guitars are built using modern techniques and materials, the resulting instruments are more durable and in many cases better sounding than their century old counterparts.

The Washburn R320SWRK Parlor acoustic guitar packs some amazing old time, vintage punch in a brand new parlor-sized 6-string. But don't let its small size fool you. The natural acoustic tones and dynamic range of this Washburn guitar will leave you speechless.

The Washburn Parlor is a small-bodied guitar that packs in a surprising amount of volume and punch for its size. The popularity of these guitars peaked between the late 19th century until the 1950s, however, they are making a strong resurgence. Because of the size and incredible projection, many blues and folk musicians have used smaller-bodied guitars like the Washburn R320SWRK Parlor Guitar with much success over the years and permanently stapled them as a true-blue American folk guitar.

The secret to its amazing tone and projection lies in its wood. The solid spruce top and rosewood body create balanced tone with lots of dynamic range, not to mention with a beautiful appearance as well. The dovetail neck joint adds strength to the guitar, and helps the overall tone. The Washburn R320SWRK guitar's mahogany neck and the ebony bridge and fretboard add sturdiness to the instrument and clarity to the overall sound. The 24-3/4" scale, 48mm nut width, 16" radius and V neck shape provides comfort when accessing the acoustic guitar's 18 frets.

Dressed in an aged satin finish, and featuring die-cast tuners and chrome hardware, the Washburn Parlor guitar looks like something right out of a museum, with a timeless tone that will never grow old. Order yours today and hear the incredible sound of a parlor. Includes case.

5 of 5 Beyond what I had hoped for...... November 11, 2020
Reviewer: Bryan from Carrollton, TX United States
I love my Dreadnoughts, but I wanted a "different voice", a tenor to go along with the baritone. I had dreamed of a 00-28 but the beautiful, older ones are quite expensive. I had just about given up on finding a guitar with the right combination of craftsmanship, woods, style and price. Then I found this Washburn. But it looked like there might only be a few, if any, available.
Then I discovered Ben at Instrument Alley.com, and he quickly answered my questions about availability, quality, etc., and I ordered a guitar and held my breath.
Well, I'm breathing again because Ben sent me a beautiful guitar in its hardshell case and it arrived perfect. It sounds wonderful and promises even more as it ages. I am so pleased, and appreciative to Ben for this beautiful instrument. If you too are are looking for an instrument of this tone and size, I think you should consider this Washburn R320SWRK. And I can also recommend InstrumentAlley.com as a reputable dealer who delivered what they said.

4 of 5 Sweet tone March 3, 2017
Reviewer: Gerald Green from Muskegon, MI United States
Over all I am happy with this guitar. The finish was pretty good, I only have really two negatives; the tuners are cheap, I knew about that going in from other reviews I read on these models and so I wasn't surprised. I replaced mine with schaller tuners. The stock tuners would work ok but they felt weak and one of mine was bent and the button was loose, it may have got bonked at some point, so I just changed them out. The other negative is the inlay, a couple of the leaves were sloppily repaired, just not very clean looking. The tone is perfect however and that made me overlook the inlay blemishes. It sounds so nice that I could not return her just because of those negatives, and Im normally picky about such things, but her tone makes up for the small imperfection of the inlays.  If the tone wasn't so beautiful I may have returned it because of the bent d key I mentioned. But I know how to work on guitars and I know shes got the mojo.

5 of 5 Great seller January 5, 2017
Reviewer: Timothy Barnes from Adams, TN United States
I'm very pleased with the product and the responsive and conscientious service provided by the seller. I was contacted immediately about the seller's concern about a possible blemish ( almost imperceptible). I was given a discount and a free tuner I didn't even ask for. This is one of the best companies I've dealt with in a VERY long time.

I'm glad I decided on the Washburn. I had been looking at parlor guitars for a while, and the Washburn is exactly what I wanted. The tone is great, it looks amazing, and is my new go-to guitar.
