Reviewer: Dennis Bertolotti from Mosinee, WI United States
I feel what I got was worth more than what I paid for.  To get an all solid wood mandolin for under $200 is a real good bargain.  Sure there are some spots where the finish may not be perfect but none of that has any real impact on how well this instrument sounds.  I would certainly recommend this instrument to anyone looking for a starter mandolin or maybe just to have one to throw in your car for a traveling instrument.  Depending on where you get this mandolin you may need to set the bridge which is not hard but without a good tuner and knowing how to do this you could end up being very frustrated by the sound and playability.  It would be money well spent getting it professionally setup.  I find the balance from the low to high strings to be very good with a very nice sustain.  I'm looking forward to playing this as it ages and the sound becomes just a little richer and looses some the the brightness is has now.
