It took a long time to get here but I like the ukulele and use it daily. It’s very pretty.

5 of 5 Wide Necked Ukulele January 29, 2018
Reviewer: anthony taylor from Billingham, Cleveland United Kingdom
This is my Fourth Oscar Schmidt Ukulele, and, like  my other three, it is a fine well made instrument, beautifully finished and has good tonal qualities.
It is the first wide necked one that I have owned.
I purchased it because I am one of those unfortunate people that have rather fat fingers. The extra width in neck compensates for this, however my fingers tend to be a bit short too, so the extra width on neck does introduce a slight problem of reach across the width of the neck, to the 4th string.
Given time, and practice I am confident that I will learn to adapt my style of fingering the chords with this lovely instrument.
I hope this info is of help.
Kind regards
Anthony

My Uke was well worth the wait, would have liked to have it sooner, but that was out of everyone's hands! It's a beautiful instrument!

4 of 5 It's a Uke! January 29, 2015
Reviewer: Dr. Turtle from Moumt Vernon, IA United States
I do not really feel like I can provide much of a review at this time, since I have only had the uke for a couple of weeks and am just starting to learn. Looks nice, sounds OK, I suppose, but I have not had much opportunity to really play it. I am hoping that the wide neck will make my fat fingers seem more nimble!

5 of 5 Oscar Schmidt OU6W Tenor ukulele January 12, 2015
Reviewer: David from Darlington, County Durham United Kingdom
My main reason for purchase was my large hands/fingers.
In this respect the wide neck makes a considerable difference - the strings really are wide apart.
It is indeed a very attractive ukulele - the pearl inlays are delightful.
I would have preferred a matt finish - easier to hold & play.
The Aquila strings make such a difference when playing - notes are much brighter.
Chord playing much easier if you have large hands/fingers.
The OU6W fitted snugly into my current Stagg hard foam tenor ukulele case.
Size wise - there is little difference between the OU6W & my Kauai tenor ukulele - however there is a considerable difference in spacing of strings.
So if I play a bad chord now - I cannot blame the string spacing - I have used up all my excuses - it must be the player!
In conclusion would I recommend this OU6W to a friend - definitely.

5 of 5 What a beauty January 2, 2015

Tone, finish and feel are excellent. The wide neck for my hands is so much easier to handle. Maybe in a few years , my finger-motorskills are fine enough for a normal neck.

5 of 5 Wide Neck Tenor April 8, 2013
Reviewer: Terry Thomas from Lakeland, FL United States
This is my second tenor uke. Basically I went for the wide neck to explore whether or not I like it better than the standard neck. I also want to drop the G string to the lower octave on this one.
It is beautiful including some great inlay around the top edges and the sound hole.

The price on this uke was great! It's got a sweet sound, good aquila strings and the wide neck is a pleasure to play!
