Ordered two OU53's, received one beautiful uke, but the other one was backordered. Since I needed them for Xmas, I cancelled that second OU53 and got an equally beautiful OU53CE. Both fit perfectly in the OC5 cases. Both play and sound great. Ben Peterson runs a first-rate business with great pricing. I highly recommend Instrument Alley.

Really good instrument for all ages / levels	May 28, 2016

This uke has Grover tuners like you'd find on a good quality electric guitar, the fit and finish are beautiful. The solid spruce top is a great upgrade that improves the liveliness of the sound and tone. The sides/back of this are laminated to save cost from climbing out of this price point. The frets are well finished at the ends meaning there are no sharp edges, partly due to the neck binding which covers the ends of the frets by design. There is no frett buzz, no dead notes, and it holds tuning well. I haven't changed the strings yet to experience changes brought on by using different brands/types. I'm very impressed and my daughter has her first instrument that she can keep her whole life with normal maintenance. Best part is that it's easy to fret notes and the strings of a baritone uke are the same as the lower or first four strings of a standard guitar. The gig bag included is also much better than expected and very substantial. I got a clip-on tuner and away she goes! :-)

The Solid Spruce top makes this Oscar Schmidt Ukulele a sweet sounding instrument. It was very nicely set up with low action and no buzz. Nicely finished wood. The instrument was shipped the day it was ordered.

New to uke. Decided on this and a couple of others as candidates. When I found it for great price and I could buy a case with it wow!!!! Killer deal. Wonderful instrument as my first. Great OS brand case. Hope to get another once I can play well and IA will be coming here first to buy if they have what I want.
