The Oscar Schmidt Banjolele is a four stringed instrument with a small banjo type body and a fretted concert size ukulele neck that was very popular in the '20s & '30s. It features the distinctive sound of a banjo and the small scale tuning and playing style of a Ukulele. The instrument uses standard ukulele tuning of G-C-E-A.

Very pleased with the service and delivery time from Instrument Alley.  Everything came exactly as expected.  The banjo uke sets up and plays beautifully, if you like the sound of a banjo, which I do.  Potential buyers need to be aware that a banjolele doesn't have the same sound as a standard uke, but if they know what they are getting then this one won't disappoint.  Construction and appearance are great with very nice components.  No tuning issues beyond those found with normal string break in.  I love it for bluegrass and country tunes.

Arrived in great shape and was easy to install the bridge.  Sounds super and the resonator back really adds strength to the notes.  Fun to play

The Banjolele arrived just in time for Christmas.  It was well packaged and looked great.  It's a heavier instrument then a normal uke but that was to be expected.  The sound is very bright and it holds a tune easily.
