I'm really happy with this Oscar Schmidt SG. The quality and finish are fantastic for the price. (I got the walnut color). The pickups are hot and LOUD (the bridge PU output alone is 17K!) I had to lower it some for more clarity, but you almost don't even need a distortion pedal for it. No sharp frets at all, and once you stretch the strings it stays in tune. Overall, it seemed to be setup decently from the factory and packed well. Even the strings were nice and new. It has a beefy set neck, so if you like those, you'll be happy. It's a little top-heavy, so I used a wide leather strap to fix that. Maybe one day I'll also get one of their LP styles, but this looks like a keeper!

This guitar is of superior quality, excellent finish, fast neck, smooth frets, very little adjustment if any, good pickups, great tones. This guitar makes a great beginner, intermediate as well as pro instrument. A high quality guitar that you will be proud to use at home or any event. GREAT QUALITY WITH A GREAT PRICE!!!
