Description

Simply put - The Orange Blossom OB-250 represents the staple of our bluegrass-style banjo line. It has been one of the highest selling banjos in the Gold Tone line for the last 15 years and is the basis of many inspired additions going above and beyond the call of duty.

The OB-250 has been newly redesigned to include a more modern appeal still holding on to its vintage and proven design. Features include the popular curly maple binding on the maple neck and resonator, GT-Master planetary tuners, Hearts & Flowers inlay, one-piece curly maple veneer on the resonator, straightline tailpiece, and a new gorgeous tobacco brown finish. Despite the new additions, this banjo is a tone monster and with the upgraded tone ring design introduced in early 2011, it will certainly raise brows at your local jam. The flat-top 20-hole bell brass tone ring coupled with a 3-ply Canadian maple rim and a complete setup at the Gold Tone Factory in Florida, the OB-250, or any of the other Orange Blossom models, will certainly be the last banjo you will ever need!

Gold Tone Orange Blossom Banjo March 1, 2014
Reviewer: Sander Karp from Carbondale, CO United States
I was pleasantly surprised by the rapid delivery of this beautiful banjo. It came on the date promised and set up as I asked.  A great sound.  The setup was just perfect. I had read some poor reviews of Instrument Alley but my experience with them was great.  They responded to my emails in a timely fashion. And a saved a bucket of money as compared with local shops and other internet sellers.  Highly recommend them.

OB Banjo February 14, 2010
Reviewer: Daniel Jager from San Diego, CA United States
I am very happy with my purchase. The service was great and my banjo came without a single scratch or blemish. The extra set of strings were mailed seperatly and I got them a few days later. It is such a very easy instrument to play and looks and sounds great.

Bang for your buck! September 26, 2007
Reviewer: Danny from Birmingham, AL United States
The banjo is really more beautiful in person. Woodgrain was great and the binding detail was really impressive. This banjer can really bark too! I tried a few of my old favorites that I had been playing on an old Fender banjo and what a difference! The Gold Tone was so far and above my old instrument in tone clarity and volume that I'm not quite sure why I waited. Ben at Instrument Alley was really helpful and everything arirved promptly with the setup just perfect. Don't hesitate!
