If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWI, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes. With exquisite Santos Tonewood back and sides, and a full D-41 style abalone trim...the BR-70 dreadnaught is right at home on the stage or in your living room. Faithfully delivers solid pre-war tone with a sharp modern look. Expertly applied white binding adorns the body, neck, and headstock. The abalone and pearl inlay work on the headstock and the back center stripe of intricate wood marquetry are touches of fine art. Aged-tone finish completes the look. The slim mahogany neck and traditional dreadnaught body make it a truly enjoyable guitar to play.

Blueridge BR-70 Acoustic Guitar Features:

  • Select, Solid Sitka Spruce top with hand-carved parabolic braces in the authentic Pre-war forward X-pattern
  • Premium Tonewood fingerboard and bridge
  • Maple bridge plate
  • Choice Santos Tonewood back, sides and peghead overlay

One look at any Blueridge guitar will tell you that the craftsmandship, style and quality of the Golden Era are still alive and plainly evident in every guitar with the Blueridge name. The intricate MOP inlays, the careful workmanship and tremendous tonal quality of each Blueridge ensure that these fine guitars will be highly collectible. They're most definitely the benchmark of value and affordability today. Like the finest guitars of the Golden Era, each Blueridge has the traditional dovetail neck/body joint and each model's neck features an adjustable truss rod. The Kluson-style enclosed tuning machines with "butterbean" buttons, in either gold or nickel, have the perfect vintage look yet offer modern precision and feel.

4 of 5 Really Nice Guitar March 13, 2015
Reviewer: david gourley from Wake Forest, NC United States
I love the look and feel of this guitar, and the sound is very clear and responsive.  Very nice guitar at this price point, and I would definitely come back for a much more expensive model.  I can't wait to put my heavier strings on it.

One thing though - I paid for a 'setup' and specified my strings(requested Martin 80/20 M140).  Maybe there was more to it, but it doesn't really feel 'set up' and the strings came separately.  The guitar had D'Addairos by default which are ok, but not what I expected to get.  So if you go for a setup, I suggest either calling them or make a note to clarify.  I didn't do that, so it's my fault for coming up short.  Fool me once!

Again, GREAT guitar!
