Description

The Blueridge BR-163 is crafted with a select solid spruce top, hand-carved X-bracing, choice solid Tonewood back and sides, and a traditional dovetail neck joint for pure Golden Era tone. The BR-163 also features intricate pearl and abalone inlay work on the headstock and fingerboard; delicate herringbone top purfling and center strip on the back; and white binding are touches of fine art. Aged-tone finish completes the vintage look of this fine Blueridge Tiple ought style acoustic guitar! The slim mahogany neck and comfortable 000-sized body make it a truly enjoyable guitar to play.
If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes.

Like the best instruments, Blueridge guitars aren't overbuilt; they're crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.

5 of 5 Very good guitar - great value February 20, 2017

Excellent.  Overall, a quality product.  I own several guitars with values over $10,000 each (you would recognize the brands).  I am very pleased with the sound, build quality, and aesthetics of this particular example.  Further, Instrument Alley is a reputable and reliable dealer.  I rate this at 5 stars, not that it would beat all in the class, but that none in the class can match the price and quality.

5 of 5 Blueridge BR 163CE March 16, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Erie, CO United States
Pros - Lots of research found IA to have the best price. Scary not being able to play it first, but its a good gamble with 14 day return policy. Well packed down to the strings. It arrived in perfect condition with a very nice guitar case free with the purchase. I was more than impressed with the quality of the Superior case with crushed green lining...pops. No tax and shipping was free. Guitar sounds fantastic and looks beautiful. Best bang for the buck. Rosewood back and sides, Fishman preamp, Sitka top, and lots of bling. Some comments say its too much...I say that's like a complaining about having a girl too pretty or a car too fast. Very happy with the guitar and getting lots of buzz with area guitarist wanting one now. Rich highs, warm lows, and a joy to play.

Cons - good luck speaking with anyone at IA - I was never able ro reach a live person. Slow on line chat responses as well and free shipping means get ready for a two week plus wait. Overall, it is worth it.
