I bought this assembly because I have a Leo fender 1982 banjo and wanted a bronze ring as mine had a pot metal ring. I had to fit the skirt a bit but successfully got it in. It totally changed the sound now I can play Sally Ann like nothing else.its a up the neck super power. Did loose a bit of 4th string but very little Awsome ring

Bought this Recording King pot from here (was sold out everywhere else anyway) and got a discount to boot. Received the pot in 3 days. I mated it to a Deering Goodtime for an experiment (took a bit of engineering to the flange and just a little neck cut) and it turned that el cheapo banjo into a cannon. Was so pleased that i made it permanent and play this banjo daily. (Goodtime has an awesome neck)
