Oscar Schmidt introduces a hand made select group of classic warm tone and sustaining volume ukeleles reminiscent of a bygone era. The OU270TSK features a beautiful solid Hawaiian Koa top harvested on the Big Island of Hawaii. These gloss instruments feature a 19 fret ebony fingerboard with dramatic abalone vine inlay, head stock logo, rosette, top binding and back strip inlay. Gold Grover mini-rotomatic deluxe GH305 tuners complement the Koa headstock. A NuBone nut and saddle with ebony bridge and Aquila strings supports two of the most resonating ukuleles in this price class.

My Oscar Schmidt tenor ukulele came quickly and is a beautiful instrument. It plays very well, has great sound, and was a good value for the money. I went with the Oscar Schmidt after reading many reviews which said it had a low action making it easier on the fingers. I am very pleased with the quality and the quality of the case is excellent as well. It seems to be well worth spending a few extra dollars to get a substantial increase in quality compared with lower priced options.
