From ancient Egyptian tales to Native American lore to the mysterious legends of Arabia, the phoenix has soared through many cultures and times. Depicted as a magnificent bird that rises from the ashes of its own pyre to live again, the phoenix's alluring song was said to mesmerize even the great god Apollo. A symbol of rebirth, the phoenix represents beauty, power, vision and inspiration.
The Phoenix features a solid Sitka spruce top with exquisite ebony inlay on soundboard and rosette to form the mythological bird and crescent moon design. An Ebony bridge, Ebony binding, Mahogany Sides and solid Mahogany back complete the immaculately crafted body. Luna's Mother of Pearl logo shines brightly from and Ebony headstock with Gotoh 18.1 tuners while Luna's Mother of Pearl signature moon phase fret markers make their way across an ebony fret board. Luna's attention to detail is further evidenced by a bone nut and saddle.
Complimenting the design effort is the inclusion of a state-of-the-art B-Band Preamp Tuner that maintains the intimate and natural acoustic tonal quality of this fine instrument.
