This is the first time I have purchased an instrument online and I am pleased. This guitar is quite nicely made with a nice finish, binding, neck fit, fingerboard and tuners. I even like the fingerboard profile, with it's slight radius, and medium width. The neck back has a V shape and is chunky, but not overly so for an acoustic. Iit has a satin finish...quite playable.
I play mostly standard tuning slide and finger cords, the first thing I noticed was a lack of sustain, but I've read that this is a characteristic of resonator guitars. Changing the strings to steel wound folk strings helped brighten up the sound. And the tuners are not the best, but they can easily be replaced with better ones. This guitar probably doesn't have the sonic complexity of a resonator priced in the thousands but it is very solid, and impressed me greatly. I was equally impressed with the hardshell case! Very nice!!
