The Deering Maple Blossom is an excellent banjo with a crisp, clear tone. The Eastern hard rock maple neck and resonator are stained a walnut color, and trimmed in white binding with a decorative black stripe. The feel of binding provides a more comfortable neck. Flower shaped mother-of-pearl inlays are set in an ebony fingerboard. The three-ply maple rim, sand cast virgin bell bronze tone-ring and zinc flange cosntruction generate an excellent tone in the Maple Blossom. The Bronze Tone Ring is the same one used in Deering's Gabriella banjo ($25,900).
The tone ring is precisely fitted to a three ply hard rock maple rim that is the state of the art in banjo building.
This fit is extremely important for vibrant, responsive and clear banjo tone.
The one piece cast resonator flange is thicker and stronger than that of most competitive banjos regardless
of price. The zinc alloy allows the warm harmonics to come through.
The walnut stained curly hard rock maple neck has a bound fingerboard and white capped heel. The neck is
slender low profile and shaped for fast accurate fingering. The rock maple neck contributes to the bright,
crisp tone of the Maple Blossom.
The smooth polished ebony fingerboard is decorated with Mother of Pearl flower inlays that are elegant,
delicate and classic in design: showcasing Deerings world renowned workmanship and also provide helpful
fingering position markers so the player can easily see what notes are being fingered.
