Description Technical Specs

The Blueridge BR-180A Historic Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is crafted with a select solid Adirondack spruce top, hand-carved X-bracing, ebony bridge, ebony fingerboard, choice solid Tonewood back and sides, and a traditional dovetail neck joint for pure Golden Era tone. Full D-45 style pearl and abalone ornamentation adorns the body, neck, and headstock, with an intricate abalone and pearl inlay on the headstock and a delicate wood marquetry back center strip. Aged finish completes the vintage Blueridge look. The slim mahogany neck and traditional dreadnought body make the Blueridge BR-180 a truly enjoyable guitar to play.

If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes. Like the best instruments, Blueridge guitars aren't overbuilt; they're crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.

They're most definitely the benchmark of value and affordability today. 4 of 5 BR-180A purchase from Instrument Alley December 31, 2018
Reviewer: Michael Franklin from Clawson , MI United States
Guitar was received in good order/carefully packaged-5 stars.  Instrument Alley had the best price I could find-5 stars.  Instrument build quality is very, very good.  Short of excellent because of a little rough patch on the upper top inch of the binding.  I also own a 2000 model year Martin D16GT and a 1992 Ibanez PF10.  The BR180A is now my top guitar in tone and aesthetics.  Played the guitar at my family Christmas party and people loved it.  My nephew who is a big Fan of Taylor was very impressed with the Bluerigde.  The factory set action is a bit too high for my liking, so I will have a setup to lower it.

5 of 5 my Blueridge BR 180 A,the guitar I always wanted.. August 9, 2016
Reviewer: Steve Phelps from Western Michigan
My Blueridge BR 180 A is,hands down,THE best guitar I have ever owned. At my regular music jams, the volume of this guitar just blows away ANY OTHER GUITAR that is played, unplugged,a regular tone cannon. The wonderful bass is tremendous, the sustain goes on seems like forever.Has a D tar Wavelength pickup installed, sounds heavenly played thru my RMS acoustic amp.The all- over abalone inlay, fit and finish is top notch. This is a copy of a D 45,and at less than 25% of a Martin D 45 price, very affordable.I went through Maury's Music in Pennsylvania,I recommend them, and Blueridge Guitars, highly.Steve Phelps.

5 of 5 Blueridge BR-180A June 23, 2015
Reviewer: MATT HOUSMAN from Trinidad, CO United States
Very pleased with my BR180A. Top notch quality, value & tone. There is absolutely no way to replace this guitar with a comparable guitar at this price point. You would have to pay 4 times the amount for an American counterpart. I own a Martin D41 and the BR180A sounds just as good.

Reviewer: Patrick Moore from Oxford, FL United States
From start to finish the person (Ben) who handled my order was very helpful and considerate, via Email & phone.  After I decided to purchase it, the guitar was shipped promptly at the agreed upon price.  It was shipped on a Monday and arrived on Saturday of the same week, in perfect condition.  I would not hesitate to recommend  Instrument Alley for their service and competitive prices.
